The team was inspired by packaging designs from the United Kingdom and Favorite Design. The result is a series of characters in the shape of chips, each representing a different product in the range. This approach adds a fun and warm tone to the packaging, making it more engaging for consumers.
What sets the Chips BCBG packaging apart is its clean, impactful graphics. The lightness of the packaging conveys the natural, healthy, and authentic nature of the product. Each product is represented by a friendly character, further enhancing the brand's appeal.
The packaging, measuring 20 cm wide by 30 cm high, is a testament to the team's technical expertise. The design was realized using Illustrator, with each character adapted according to the product it represents. The design tags include chips, design, packaging, and minimal, reflecting the team's focus on simplicity and impact.
The design process took several months, during which the team faced the challenge of modernizing the range without losing customers. The result is a series of packaging that aligns with the brand's universe, combining minimalism and modernity with an artisanal touch. The packaging conveys the conviviality of the aperitif moment, enhancing the consumer's overall experience.
The Chips BCBG packaging has been recognized for its innovation and creativity, winning the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2018. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and that evoke positive feelings, amazement, and wonder. The Chips BCBG packaging is now distributed in all SNCF bar wagons, as well as at Carrefour, Intermarché, and Monoprix.
